We The People Convention

• Feb 09, 2016

This past weekend The Us Campaign headed up to New Hampshire to participate in the New Hampshire Rebellion's We The People Convention.

NH Rebellion is mobilizing the public and presidential candidates to declare their independence from big money in politics by denouncing outside spending and committing to fundamental reforms.

The weekend was packed with various speakers discussing why campaign finance reform needs to be a top priority in Washington, DC. Speakers included Sam Waterston, Lawrence Lessig, Nick Nyhart of Every Voice, Ben Cohen founder of Ben & Jerry's, Congressman John Sarbanes, Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster, and former Representative Carol Shea Porter, and many more!

We need continue the fight Granny D started in 1999. At the age of 88 Doris "Granny D" Haddock walked over 3,200 miles across the United States to push for campaign finance reform. It took her over a year but she finished that walk and started a movement. We must continue her fight!
